Metronomy are to return in 2014 with a new album, as yet untitled. They have piqued their fans' interest by releasing a snippet of track 'I'm Aquarius' on their official website.

Listen to the track here

We should be honest here, when we say snippet we really mean it. The clip is only a few seconds long and looped for as long as you stay on the site. It's hard to get an idea of the sound of the new album, but thankfully the band have shed some light on the recording.

Talking to NME, singer Joe Mount revealed that he was confident about the new record. Although saying this might have made him uncomfortable in the past, he's since reconciled himself with such statements, claiming "It's weird, I think I've learnt the difference between being confident in an egotistical way and being confident in what you do."

He has also overcome any self-doubt he had in the past over performing lyrics he has composed, stating: "I was getting embarrassed and finding it difficult to sing things that I'd written without cringing."

Hopefully all this new found confidence will come across strongly in the follow-up to 2011's The English Riviera.
