Lady Gaga's forthcoming studio album ARTPOP has taken a mauling from a US publication and has been heralded as 'one of the biggest musical disasters from a major artist in pop music history'.
The review, which was published on examiner.com, hits out at the latest efforts from Lady Gaga, writing that throughout the album she over-sings on the verses, tries to copy Christina Aguilera and has just produced an album of tracks that sound identical to her previous releases.
The biggest criticism comes in the final paragraph of the review: "As it stands, ARTPOP is one of the biggest musical disasters from a major artist in pop music history. Think Michael Jackson's Invincible, Madonna's American Life, or Prince's Lovesexy, multiplied by three in the bad factor. Even though Born This Way found Lady Gaga taking herself way too seriously, the good music at least hid her flaws. ARTPOP could very well be the end of Gaga's musical career."

The album, which recently leaked online, is yet to receive further reviews, however judging by what this author had to say, there's not much point in even listening to ARTPOP.
"We heard the full high quality album and suggest you refrain from the punishment of listening to the album, which could have been decent if it didn't try so hard to be avant-garde."
Ouch.
