Eminem blames album leak for taking pills and punching people in the face

Eminem has uploaded an audio file to the internet which sees him making a joke of illegal downloads after his new album The Marshall Mathers LP 2 was leaked earlier this week.

The 56 second-long clip sees Eminem taking on a polite tone and speaking of how nobody buys CDs anymore, and instead illegally downloading, as he tells fans: "Due to a massive amount of bootlegging and constant downloading, people are no longer buying Cds so that we can get paid for our f**king work. They're just continuing to get songs for free... putting music retail in a tremendous slump, causing artists such as myself to get make money for record sales."

The speech then takes a quick turn as he (jokingly) gets angry about being "forced to tour, causing more stress, arguments with my wife, not being able to see my kids, drink more, take more pills, punch more people in the face, hate the world and end up in rehab!"

Listen to the full PSA below:

The Marshall Mathers LP 2, which sees features from Rihanna, Kendrick Lamar and Sia is now available to stream via soundcloud, despite the fact it wasn't meant to be released until next week. After album tracks started illegally surfacing online, Eminem's record company were forced to bring the stream release date forward so fans could hear the album as it was intended.
