Rihanna has gained a place in the music history books alongside Elvis Presley and The Beatles after hitting No.1 with her new Eminem collaboration, 'The Monster'.
The track is taken from Eminem's new album The Marshall Mathers LP 2, and is the second collaboration between the two to score a UK No.1 single, following their 2010 track, 'Love The Way You Lie'. 'The Monster' is also both Eminem and Rihanna's seventh UK No.1 single, with Rihanna now joining The Beatles and Elvis Presley in the record books for having scored a No.1 single in seven consecutive years.
Last week's No.1 single, 'Royals' by Lorde, slips to No.2, Fatboy Slim's 'Eat Sleep Rave Repeat' enters at No.3, while One Direction debut at No.4 with their new single, 'Story Of My Life'.
Tinie Tempah's new John Martin collaboration 'Show Me Love (America)' enters at No.8, while newcomer Foxes debuts at No.12 with her first solo hit, 'Youth'. Justin Bieber enters at No.28 with 'Recovery' and boyband M.A.D. score their first hit with 'Toy Boy' at No.37.

On the album chart, Arcade Fire end Katy Perry's week-long reign at No.1, as Reflektor knocks Prism from the UK top spot. Perry drops to No.2, James Blunt drops to No.3, Lorde enters at No.4 with her debut Pure Heroine and Arctic Monkeys are at No.5 with AM.
Other new entries on the album chart include Union J at No.6 with their debut album, Matt Cardle's Porcelain at No.11 and Linkin Park's new remixed collection enters at No.12.
Paul Potts enters at No.21 with The Greatest Hits, Chas + Dave debut at No.25 with That's What Happens and Boy George is at No.33 with This Is What I Do.
Following his Mercury Music Prize win, James Blake's Overgrown returns to the chart at No.23 and Lou Reed's 1973 album Transformer is back in the chart at No.35, following the music icon's tragic death.
