Jake Bugg has dismissed Arctic Monkeys in a new interview, admitting he's not a "big fan" of their new record, AM.
Talking to the Guardian whilst promoting his forthcoming second album Shangri La, the 19 year old said he preferred their earlier material. "I love the second record," he said. "I ain't had a proper listen to the new one, but what I've heard I haven't been a big fan of."

Bugg, who shot to fame with his 2012 eponymous debut, has built up a reputation for airing his blunt opinions on fellow artists, taking down everyone from One Direction ("terrible") to Britney Spears' entourage. He also recently claimed he was "not that bothered" about winning this year's Mercury Prize, for which his debut album was nominated for.
His attitude and sulky demeanour has attracted criticism, but Bugg acknowledges this. "I think I can come across as a bit of a twat to be honest," he admits. "I got a couple of tweets not long ago - 'Jake Bugg, you make great music but why do you have to be such a douche?'"
Bugg's second album, Shangri La, is named after the California recording studio owned by Rick Rubin, where the record was made. Shangri La will be released November 18th.
