Arcade Fire look set to be one of the big names on the 2014 festival season, and have been confirmed to headline next year's Primavera festival in Barcelona.
The confirmation comes after rumours circulated online after huge posters were erected in the Spainish city, ahead of the online confirmation. Internet pranksters wasted no time in setting the rumour mill ablaze however, quickly reworking the posters to make it look like David Bowie had also been confirmed. Damn you, internet pranksters.
Primavera 2014 will take place on 29-31 May in Barcelona's Parc Del Forum, and the festival states that it will be the band's only performance in Spain in 2014. Neutral Milk Hotel will also perform. See the official poster for the event below.
The mocked up Bowie image that was too good to be true looked a little something like this:
