Say Lou Lou have unveiled another stunning, brand new track. Listen to 'Beloved' below.
Elektra and Mirana Kilbey have been touring Europe with Foals (where they gave us exclusive insight and photos of their life on the road with the Holy Fire boys) and have been winning hearts and minds across the globe as the hype machine gathers momentum. The Swedish twins now continue their flawless run of tracks from the beautiful 'Julian', the haunting 'Fool Of Me', the heavenly 'Maybe You' and the utter eargasm of 'Better In The Dark' with the latter song's gorgeous b-side 'Beloved'. It's ever so good.
Here are five reasons why you should also be in love with Say Lou Lou, and why you should give three minutes and 57 seconds of your time to listen to 'Beloved'.
1) They're more or less certain to be featured in the BBC Sound Of 2014 poll at the end of the year, and deservedly so, so get in on the act now.
2) We recently spoke to Hurts frontman Theo Hutchcraft, who told us: "A band we love so much that are playing some shows with us are Say Lou Lou – they’re just fantastic. From the first time I heard them with no image or knowledge of the band, I just knew that they were something special. There’s also a kinship in the way that we think about and approach music in them that I think is great. They’re a very special entity and every song that they put out is brilliant." We couldn't have put it any better ourselves.
3) While a fair amount of press is likely to focus on the fact that they're two beautiful Swedish twins, there's an ocean of substance beneath the surface with Say Lou Lou. This is not a marketing ploy, this is perfect pop music done properly.
4) 'Beloved' is a shimmering and soaring synth-pop gem that cuts straight to the core of a band with boundless promise. As the glacial elements swoop together to an almighty and life-affirming crescendo, you realise that Say Lou Lou are the sound of today, tomorrow and beyond.
5) If this is only a b-side, imagine how brilliant their debut album is going to be.
