Camden indie band Tribes have announced that they have split up after four years and two albums together. 

The band were tipped for big things around the hype of their debut album, Baby - but theri second album Wish To Scream failed to crack the top 40.

"We are sad to announce that we will no longer be writing and performing together as Tribes," the band revealed on Twitter this morning (Thursday 7 November). “Thank you to everyone who supported us along the way. We are proud of what we achieved together. You gave us the best four years of our lives so far.”

The band join the ranks of Chapel Club, Asobi Seksu, Lostprophets, My Chemical Romance and more who have split up in 2013.
