Why 2013 hasn't been a great year for women in music

The word 'feminism' has become quite the hot topic this year with a tonne of artists giving their bit on the misogyny in the music industry. But why wouldn't they when this year has come the worst for women with artists flashing the flesh at any chance they get, girls bickering over what it means to be a feminist and of course - Robin Thicke.

The feuds have been spilt all over the internet with open letters becoming a new fashion. Miley's pretty much upset everyone bar a few, Rihanna and Britney couldn't wait to get as naked as possible in their videos, and Lorde seems to be the only decent role model left for young impressionable girls.

We take a look at why 2013 has been one of the worst for women in the music industry.
