Festival season might be yonks away, but speculation is already rife as to who will be grabbing the headline slots. Today the music programmer at Reading Festival revealed one of the headliners is a 'big British band'.
In a post on Twitter, he let slip that he had booked a seminal group of the last decade in British music. Unfortunately no further details relating to the act, including whether or not they are a headliner have been released, however it's fairly clear that it will be along the lines of Arctic Monkeys or Muse.
Just booked one of the best British bands of the last decade! Can't wait for #RandL14

Last month, Melvin Benn revealed that two of the headliners had already been booked: "We have headliners in mind and booked actually. Two of the three are done, the last one we are giving due consideration to. Both of the headliners have played before," he stated, going on to hint that the band is "both American and English."
Last year saw Green Day, Eminem and Biff Clyro seize the headline slots with support from Fallout Boy, Chase & Status and Nine Inch Nails.
