NBC New York report that man who was kicked out of the Iranian post-punk band last year went on a rampage at the Brooklyn apartment building where his former bandmates lived in the early hours of this morning (Monday 11 November).
He killed three of them with an assault rifle before taking his own life on the roof of the building.
Police officials say that a fourth member of the The Yellow Dogs was shot twice in the arm but was taken to the hospital and is expected to live. The incident took place on Maujer Street in East Williamsburg.

Police say that they found the three dead bandmates on the second and third floors of the apartment. A 35-year-old man and an unidentified man had been shot in the head, while a 27-year-old man had been shot in the chest.
Fans have since taken to the band's official Facebook page to voice their shock and leave messages of condolence.
