Norwegian comedy duo Ylvis's hit single 'The Fox (What Does The Fox Say)' will be turned into a children's book, after the Norwegian duo signed a book deal with Simon + Schuster to publish a literary adaptation.
Ylvis, AKA brothers Bard and Vegard Ylvisaker, will adapt their ridiculously catchy song, which has amassed over 215 million hits on YouTube, into a children's book, which is due to hit shelves on 10 December - just in time for Christmas.

Publishing house Simon & Schuster released a statement praising the brothers, who have been variety performers in their native Norway since 2000.
"I cannot tell you how many times I've watched Ylvis's hilarious, mesmerizing, unforgettable 'The Fox'," said publishing president Jon Anderson. "The lyrics and playfulness of the song lend themselves perfectly to the picture book format, and I’m ecstatic that Simon & Schuster is publishing Bard and Vegard’s first book."
It's the latest in an ever increasing series of successes for the Ylvisaker brothers, who also recently signed a record deal with Warner Music Group.
'The Fox' was originally a comedy promo for the brother's chat show I kveld med Ylvis (Tonight with Ylvis), with the duo setting out to record the most stupid song possible using one of the most expensive production teams in the country, which they achieved - 'The Fox' was actually recorded at Jay Z's Roc the Mic studio in New York.
Ylvis will be appearing on BBC's Children In Need this Friday (15 November, 2013).
