Young Jeezy has taken to Twitter to threaten to leak his album himself if his label Def Jam continue to 'keep playing games'.

The Atlanta rapper is keen to release his fifth studio album, grandly titled The Statue of Limitations Is Over, but his label Def Jam appear to be stalling on the project, with a release date still having not being announced.

In what's becoming more and more of a common occurence these days for artists, Jeezy took to Twitter telling Def Jam they are "playing games" and that his fans will get "an early xmas gift" if they don't get a move on. The rapper specifically blamed Universal Music Group CEO Lucian Grainge and Island Def Jam CEO Barry Weiss for his woes.

It's not the first time Young Jeezy has experienced album delays - his last record, 2011's TM:103 Hustlerz Ambition, was delayed for almost two years, and missed several purported release dates.

Young Jeezy's actions follow in the footsteps of MIA, who threatened to leak her album Matangi in August after her record label Interscope failed to set a solid release date for the record.
