Speculative wish lists are always difficult tasks as they are always just that, a distant fantasy as realistic as Alice in Wonderland and as immediate as Narnia. However despite that we have compiled a group of songs that we would rather make it to No.1 this festive season than Susan Boyle, X Factor or the singing robot being tipped to top the charts.
If any of them do make it to the top spot, expect us to eat our shoes, but regardless each of these single is released in November up until the Christmas rush and therefore could have a shot. Emphasis on 'could' - the world as a far too cruel and dark place for that...
