It's certainly been a landmark year for rapper Kendrick Lamar who has been named 'Rapper of the Year' by men's magazine GQ.
Lamar released his debut album Good Kid M.A.A.D. City in 2012, but 2012 has seen him breakthrough into the mainstream with a huge list of collaborations with the biggest names. He has cropped up on tracks with Robin Thick, Big Sean, Eminem, Pusha T and has always brought fire to the verses he features on. This has led to huge gigs, a Kanye West support slot, an iTunes festival headline show and now 'Rapper of the Year' award.
