Mariah Carey has revealed she couldn't stand her stint as a judge on ailing talent show American Idol, even comparing it to working in hell - and fellow judge Nicki Minaj was 'Satan'.
The legendary pop diva confessed to HOT 97 radio station yesterday (November 13), the gig wasn't exactly what she thought it was going to be. "Honestly, I hated it," Carey revealed. "I thought it was going to be a three-person panel. They gave me a nice dangling monetary moment, and I was just like, 'Okay. Randy Jackson will be there; I've known him forever. He used to play bass for me. Like, this isn't a big deal. This will be nothing.' But it wasn't that.
"It was like going to work every day in hell with Satan," she continued, seemingly referencing her much-publicised spat with fellow judge Nicki Minaj, during which the pair argued during shows, with Minaj even taking to Twitter to deem Carey "insecure" and "bitter". Although Mariah did add the one bright spot of the show was working with the hopefuls, saying: "I loved the contestants."

However, it seems Carey has gotten over the past and is looking forward to the forthcoming release of her fourteenth studio album, The Art Of Letting Go, and said she'll never go back to American Idol. "I like being in the studio better and going on my own tours, etc., so we're going back to that," she said.
The songstress will, however, be making one more return to TV when she stars in animated sitcom American Dad! in an episode which will air November 24.
