Popular night club and venue The Garage in Leeds has been forced to close immediately, after failing to renew their tenancy with the landlord.

The Garage first opened its doors in March 2012 - the same year that it won DJ Mag's prestigious award for Best Small Club. It went on to become a premiere night spot and a haven for lovers of electronic music from across Yorkshire and beyond, hosting nights with the likes of Back To Basics, Beatstreet, Bigger Than Barry, SetOneTwenty and Nest.

Now, the club has issued the following statement on their Facebook page - saying that 'no one is to blame', and that they hope to return elsewhere in the future:
