Mood Swings, a new exhibition portraying industrial America via sculpture and paintings by iconic singer-songwriter Bob Dylan, has opened in London.

The show, which is running at the Halcyon Gallery, features large iron sculptures that the singer welded himself from scrap and old tools, and numerous paintings and collages. The work is supposed to represent Dyan's childhood in industrial America, growing up in Minnesota's iron range. The works are priced from £35,000.

Dylan said in a statement: "I've been around iron all my life ever since I was a kid. I was born and raised in iron ore country - where you could breathe it and smell it every day. And I've always worked with it in one form or another."

Dylan has sold over 110 million records worldwide as a recording artist and is one of the most influential musicians of the past five decades. Unsurprisingly, this means his exhibition is expected to be extremely popular, with gallery president Paul Green estimating thousands to visit.

Bob Dylan Mood Swings is at the Halcyon Gallery until 25 January, 2014.

Dylan himself is currently on tour in Europe, and will play three shows at the Royal Albert Hall from Tuesday 26 November - Thursday 28 November 2013. For more information visit Gigwise gig tickets
