The Rolling Stones, Fleetwood Mac, Black Sabbath, Led Zeppelin and Manic Street Preachers were among the acts honoured at the Classic Rock Awards last night (Thursday 14 November, 2014).
Other winners at the ceremony at The Roundhouse in London included Wilko Johnson, Mott The Hoople and Rory Gallagher.
Black Sabbath were the big winners of the night though - taking home the awards for Album Of The Year, Event Of The Year, and the Living Legends Award.
Speaking to Classic Rock, frontman Ozzy Osbourne said: "I never thought I’d be standing here, what, 45 years later? It’s an incredible event for us all. We’re still in shock. It’s been an incredible year, after I spent all those earlier ones trying to kill myself."
Bandmate Tony Iommi, who’s continued to work with the band and tour with the band despite receiving cancer treatment, added: "Thanks for everything – it’s great to see all these old and new faces."
