The Billboard Touring awards were held in New York on Thursday 14 November. The idea of the ceremony is to honour every aspect of bands touring from the biggest grossing tour to the best venues.

The awards are based on the biggest grossing tours and events, so surprise announcements will were thin on the ground in this its 10th year. Bon Jovi won the biggest tour and the biggest draw and The Rolling Stones walked away with the horribly named Concert Marketing and Promotion Award.

There was an attempt at a nod to new music with One Direction winning the breakthrough act. For the events and venues Coachella won the best festival and London's very own O2 won the best arena gong.

George Strait walked away with the Legend of Live Award. The country star has been performing for four decades, so at least we can say that this award was richly deserved.
