Ylvis have shed their image as fox-bothering jokers to discuss more important global matters, revealing suggestions to help tackle global warming and global capitalism.

In a recent interview with Gigwise, one half of the novely duo put forward some valid suggestions to deal with the world's major issues, having already solved the pressing matter of what does the fox say.

"I think the best thing is a a both worlds solution. In Norway we are kind of a socialist country and it's pretty okay over there," said Ylvisåker, as he talked of his favourite socio-economic solutions to the global recession.

Refuting claims that the goverment's economic policy had adversely affected the country's climate, he went on "It's pretty cold and damp but that hasn't anything to do with the economy".

Talk then turned to the looming disaster of climate change, and whether we had reached a tipping point from which there was no return. The 'What Does The Fox Say' singer revealed "I am an expert on that area actually", adding "I think the tipping point is when the tundra is starting to melt and freeing a lot of methane, then we're gonna tip".

An ominous warning from the self-professed climate expert, but what does he suggest we do if we reach this point? In a break from conventional wisdom on the subject, he claims "And if we tip, the right attitude would just be to enjoy the ride. Like when a roller-coaster tips over, there's no way back. Just burn a lot of hydrocarbon"
