A tabloid newspaper has been shocked to learn Blondie icon Debbie Harry is, in fact, getting older, and displaying all the typical signs of ageing.
The Daily Mirror posted a photo of the star, depicting Harry looking precisely her age, and published next to a photo of the "blonde bombshell" at the age of 33, looking - surprisingly - quite young. The tabloid achieved its goal of showing that someone does not look quite as attractive nearly four decades later.
The image-led piece was run with the headline of 'picture this first thing in the morning'. The paper also took the time to observe the 'Atomic' singer's hair was slightly unkempt, even describing it as "scary".
The piece has caused uproar online with Twitter users slamming the paper for misogyny and sharing images of the piece online. Check it out below.
Nice bit of misogyny from @DailyMirror for a Saturday morning. She's 68 years old, you pricks pic.twitter.com/cRGQm6qFOt
