Stage diving is one of those rights of passage for many musicians. When they do it right, its a proud moment having your fans love you enough to catch you. But if it all goes horribly wrong, it can add injury to insult - and a hell of a lot of embarassment.
There have been plenty of failed attempts at this rock and roll gesture, which either leave you squeamish as you watch your idol fall to the ground about as gracefully as a bird flying into a window, or giggling at their misfortune as you realise that even they can make mistakes.
