Don't expect to see Kings Of Leon in the audience of any One Direction gigs in the near future - the band have likened pop gigs to the end of the world. Well, some of them.

The 'Supersoaker' stars have hit out at the state of modern pop and taken their turn to speak of their disgust at the sexualised female stars dominating the chart and TV screens, such as Miley Cyrus.

"Some pop shows I watch, it feels like the end of the world, it's fucking awful," says guitarist Matthew Followill in a new interview with the Sydney Morning Herald. "It's not even music any more.

"You would never want your children to watch [shows like that] and I can't believe that younger kids, even teenagers are watching that stuff. It almost seems to be making the world a bad place."

Jared Followill agreed, but in doing so, revealed that the band have clearly spent enough time watching pop shows to have formed a comprehensive opinion of what takes place on stage, adding: "They makes me cringe. I can't watch that stuff. Not even just because they're taking their clothes off it's the whole thing, the dance moves, it's not good."

Kings Of Leon recently performed at the MTV European Music Awards - alongside the likes of Miley Cyrus, Katy Perry, Iggy Azalea and Icona Pop...
