When it comes to the biggest artists in the world, a lot is often made of their social networking numbers (manifested through Twitter followers) and their first week album sales. The amount an artist amasses on Twitter is a supposed measure of how influential they are, while first week sales demonstrate the artist's ability to rake in the green.
We thought it'd be interesting for example to see if Lady Gaga's 48 million followers on Twitter would translate into sales and vice versa for Justin Timberlake's extremely high sales of the 20/20 Experience. Be aware we aren't statisticians however so don't take this as gospel just a rough guide, with percentage being a measure of comparison. All figure are supllied by Billboard and Twitter.
