Britney Spears has sparked controversy after being photographed posing with a gun and wearing a Virginia Tech hoody on the set of her video for new single 'Perfume'.
Virginia Tech was the American university where 32 people were killed and 17 wounded in 2007, in the deadliest shooting incident by a single gunman in US history.
Splash News reports that the 31-year-old 'Toxic' star was shooting the video in Palmdale, California, where she was photographed blowing bubbles with pink bubblegum and pointing a gun at a man behind the wheel of a car - warming up in the red hoodie belonging to her boyfriend David Lucado in between takes.
Spears last caused gun controversy in 2011, when filming the video for 'Criminal'. She was seen fleeing a building in Hackney with a pistol in her hand, shortly after the area had suffered from riots and gun tragedy.
However, Spears then issued a statement saying: "The video is a fantasy story featuring Britney’s boyfriend, Jason Trawick , which literally plays out the lyrics of a song written three years before the riots ever happened."
