Eminem has praised Macklemore and his album The Heist, a collaboration with with Ryan Lewis, saying he believes the rapper is "pretty f**kin' incredible."
In a recent interview, Eminem was questioned about Macklemore and claimed that, "He's really dope. Macklemore is, yeah, he's dope."
As an internationally acclaimed white rapper, Macklemore is seen by many as a successor of sorts to Eminem's crown. The Rolling Stone interview went on to question the 'Same Love' writers technical abilities compared to that of Marshall's. "I think there's very technical shit that he does. He's a really good songwriter, too. Conceptually, the shit he does is pretty fuckin' incredible."

After hearing Eminem's thoughts, Macklemore expressed his gratitiude to the magazine.
"What meant the most to me out of all that shit, is what he said about the technical stuff, and the songwriting. Because I think a lot of people do, for whatever reason, think that there's not a technical skill set to what I bring to the records. And to have Em validate that - I mean, that's like the technician of technical rap. So that was super fresh to me. And obviously he's Em, he's one of the best rappers ever."
Both Macklemore's The Heist and Eminem's The Marshall Mathers LP 2 are available to buy now.
