Continuing his gradual return into the music world, Prince has announced three live dates in Connecticut, USA.

The Purple One will play three shows at the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Connecticut, USA, on December 27, 28 and 29. For those lucky enough to live in the area, tickets will go on sale December 6 at 10am.

The 'When Doves Cry' icon hasn't released an album since 2010's 20Ten, but has been bringing himself back into the public eye in the past year, unveiling a string of new tracks with band 3RDEYEGIRL. He also hosted a pyjama party at his Paisley Park studios, treating over 2,000 fans to a career spanning concert.

However, the legend's most recently released track, 'Da Bourgeoisie', has attracted criticism for its lyrics, which some have dubbed homophobic. Telling the story of being dumped for another woman, the song includes the eyebrow raising lines "Last time I checked you left the dirty world" and "I wish I never kissed your [spits in disgust], ugh". Prince took to Twitter to claim the song was "not prejudicial."
