Ian 'H' Watkins, member of pop band Steps, has been forced to leave Twitter after facing a barrage of misdirected abuse aimed at shamed former Lostprophets frontman Ian Watkins.
The pop singer posted a message on his Twitter saying he was going to "take a break" from the social networking site following abuse mistakenly sent to himself rather than former Lostprophets singer Ian Watkins, who yesterday (November 26) pleaded guilty to 13 counts of child abuse, including conspiring to rape a baby.
Decided to have a break from twitter... Not sure when I'll be back.. Big Hugs to you all x H x

A Facebook fan page for Watkins of Steps fame posted a message pleading users to stop leaving abuse on the page, explaining the '5, 6, 7, 8' singer has nothing to do with Lostprophets' Watkins, who was yesterday described as a "determined and committed paedophile" by the court QC.
Messages posted on H's Facebook page included death threats calling him "dirty vile scum".
H hasn't specified when he'll be returning to the social networking site, but as more details continue to emerge of Lostprophets' Watkins' shocking history of "depraved" child sex offences, it seems unlikely it will be anytime soon.
