Kanye launched into an epic rant about Lenny Kravitz during his weekend gig in New York - not realising Kravitz was in the audience, and reportedly hugely embarrassed by the experience.
According to the New York Post, it was all going well for the Yeezus rapper in New York's Madison Square Garden on Sunday night (24 November, 2013), until he decided to take down the fashion industry and once again over-praising himself as the 'No.1 rock star on the planet.'
But in the rant he paid special attention to american singer-songwriter Lenny Kravatz, embarrassing him in the process stating "There would be no Kanye West if it wasn't for Lenny Kravitz," so at least be was being complimentary.
Kanye continued to rant about Kravitz's fashion and design ambitions and his impact on the rapper's career himself: "There wouldn't be no song called 'N***s in Paris' without Lenny Kravitz, because he was the first n**** in Paris," he continued. "He had been working on a clothing line for a long time,.. I said 'Wait a second, I've got a dream of doing a clothing line.'"
He continued: "Have you heard anyone talk (bleep) about Lenny Kraviotz? He's a nice guy, he's so well mannered. I envy people who are extremely likeable, I'm like, 'Damn, I wish I could be like that.'"
Meanwhile unknown to Kanye, Kravatz was left red faced in the audience after his ordeal, and was overheard by a US source as saying: "He doesn't know I'm here."
