Arctic Monkeys' frontman Alex Turner has teased the possibility of a sequel to the band's most recent album, AM.

Turner told the NME that he already has ideas for the record, and they began to form as early as the finish of recording AM, which recieved huge critical and commercial success upon its release in September. "I think I can see there being something," he says. "I can't really confirm or deny that one. I can sort of imagine what it might be."

"I could see it when the record was finished," he added. "We'd met the deadline, but the thing was still sort of snowballing a little bit, and for that reason, we could still find ourselves walking into another one."

However, Turner was quick to play down his comments, saying the potential record is very much in the blueprint stages. "The songs aren't there, it's just an idea of mine. But that's usually how it works: this time the idea definitely led the whole procession, rather than the songs themselves," he revealed.

The Sheffield rockers are due to play two massive shows at London's Finsbury Park May 23 and 24 2014, with support from Tame Impala, Miles Kane and Royal Blood. Tickets are on sale now. For more information, visit Gigwise Gig Tickets.
