Miley Cyrus is currently leading user's votes to be crowned Time magazine's Person of the Year, fending off competition from the likes of Barack Obama, Angelina Jolie, and Vladimir Putin.
The 'Wrecking Ball' star, who turned 21 on Sunday (November 24), has recieved almost double the votes of CIA whistleblower Edward Snowden, who is in second place, to recieve the accolade.
Cyrus is also beating competition from US President Barack Obama, controversial Russian President Vladimir Putin, Pakistani activist Malala Yousafzai, and actress/activist Angelina Jolie, with over 28 percent of poll voters seemingly selecting Cyrus as their person of 2013.
However, all is not quite what it seems - as a pair of computer programmers have claimed they have rigged the poll to cast multiple votes for Miley, in an attempt to make a mockery of the vote.

Unfortunately for Miley, however, Time have told Mashable that they are "aware of the efforts to affect the results of the Person of the Year poll, and have measures in place so that only legitimate votes are being incorporated in the final tally."
Time magazine's Person of the Year will be officially announced December 11, with voting on December 4.
