The London venue where music legend Bob Dylan played his first UK gig will today be commemorated with a blue plaque - and the 72-year-old is reported to be attending the event.
Kings Cross venue The Water Rats will be unveiling the blue plaque, which marks a building where a notable person has lived or worked, this afternoon (November 28) - and they're hoping Dylan himself will turn up to the event as he's in London to perform three shows at the Royal Albert Hall.
"Bob Dylan and his publicist Tom Cording have been made aware of the ceremony as this coincides with Bob Dylan's last concert of his current run at the Royal Albert Hall," The Water Rats say in a statement. "We are hoping that Mr Dylan will be arriving at 2:30pm after his sound check to unveil the Plaque and show his continued support for live music in the UK."

The icon played his first ever UK gig at the tiny venue in December 1962, which at the time was named Pindar of Wakefield. The Pogues and Oasis are amongst the other acts to stage their first show at the Kings Cross locale.
Dylan is in town to perform three massive shows at the Royal Albert Hall, the last of which is tonight.
