Kasabian's Serge Pizzorno has confirmed in a post of their official website that they will be pulling out all the stops for their 10th anniversary gig in Leicester in 2014.

Earlier this week Kasabian announced they will be headlining a 35,000 capacity gig at Victoria Park on 21 June 2014 to celebrate 10 years since releasing their self-titled debut album in 2004.

Now, songwriter and guitarist Pizzorno has revealed they will be putting everything they've got into the performance with material from their new album as well as their classic albums.

"We'll have a new record, so we'll be playing tunes from that and we'll be playing the massive anthems that we have,"says Pizzorno. "It will be a huge celebration. The important thing will be whats going to happen next, It won't be like "this is great, let's just reminisce" it will be like "f**l this is just half the story, what's going to happen next."

Pizzorno also appears very confident about their live performances: "We've figured out, certainly live, where we fit, what we are, the show had never been better and its going to get even better."

He also promises big things from the band's new material, adding: "This new record, its the best tunes I've ever written so far. So all that +40k people and Solstice Day. It just adds to the significance."

Tickets for the gig at Leicester's Victoria Park on 21 June 2014 go on sale tomorrow Friday 29 November. For more information, visit Gigiwise gig tickets.
