Arcade Fire fans have spoken of their delight after snapping up tickets to the Canadian band's huge show at London's Earls Court in 2014.
Tickets for the Reflektor band's summer show at the soon-to-be-demolished venue went on sale at 9am this morning (29 November, 2013), and despite the usual grumbles about purchasing tickets online, as thousands joined the race to see the band, many have now taken to Twitter to share their joy at having firmed up plans for 6 June, 2014.
"What a start to a brill Friday. Got tickets to Arcade Fire at Earl's Court, London. #beyondstoked" wrote Anne-Laure Kujawski after successfully buying tickets.
"Arcade fire tickets purchased!!! Absolutely buzzing #Reflektor," added Tom Harrison
"A fantastic start to the day and the weekend with @arcadefire tickets successfully purchased #boom," wrote Dela Smits.
"YEEEEEEEAH bagged Arcade Fire tickets!!! Haven't seen them since Reading Festival 2010. Buzzzzzzzzzzing" wrote Matt Mogg.
"I will pretty much be sat in the rafters, but in is in. I got tickets to see @arcadefire in June and I am delighted!" said Dee Montague.
"Was definitely worth staying up after work, @arcadefire tickets sorted, see you in full fancy dress attire at Earls Court in June #Reflektor," said Jack Djeffreys.
However, many reported ticketing problems, and responded angrily when told by various ticketing website that the show has sold out within seconds of going on sale.
"#ticketmaster there is no way you sold out of arcade fire tickets in 20 seconds. #fix the #system #pathetic," wrote an angry Antony Gray.
"Did @arcadefire Earls Court tickets actually sell out in under a minute?" added Eamonn Lawlor.
Disappointed fans are now hoping additional dates will be announced - or perhaps even that much-rumoured Glastonbury headline gig?
