Lady Gaga's Thanksgiving special with The Muppets failed to grab the attention of the American public as the 90-minute special achieved a high of just 3.6million viewers.
Lady Gaga and The Muppets Holiday Spectacular saw the ARTPOP star perform Christmas classics alongside The Muppets whilst guest appearances from the likes of Elton John and Ru Paul could do nothing to boost the ratings.
Interestingly, the singer's 2011 A Very Gaga Thanksgiving aired in the same slot two years ago and received a total to 5.4million viewers.
In comparison, NBC's American football match between Pittsburgh and Baltimore saw the lion's share of viewing with over 18million on Thursday (28 November) night.

The holiday special also received an average rating of just 0.9 amongst adults between 18-49 which is considerably less than the 1.6 rating her 2011 show achieved.
Gaga performed a number of tracks from her recently released album ARTPOP, including 'Venus', 'Applause', 'ARTPOP' and 'Manicure'.
