Frank Ocean's cousin is suing Chris Brown for $3 million following a carpark fight earlier this year.
Sha'Keir Duarte has cited emotional distress, suffering and inconvenience amongst the reasons for the lawsuit's high price tag, with just $60,000 worth going towards medical expenses. Duarte claims to have been injured when a fight broke out between Brown and Ocean's entourages in Los Angeles in January of 2013.
The fight, which is said to have been over a parking spot outside a recording studio, reportedly resulted in Duarte being attacked by Brown’s bodyguard, as well as damage to the building itself. Duarte received a concussion as a result of the brawl.
Brown responded to the lawsuit, which was filed in August, by countersueing Duart last month, accusing him of kicking and punching the singer to instigate the fight. He is seeking unspecified damages.
Brown, who is currently in rehab to focus on his anger issues, has called the figure "absurd."
