Two Stone Roses superfans have paid the ultimate tribute to their favourite band, by turning them into garden gnomes. Yes, that's right - really.
The Gnome Roses can be yours by visiting AlternativeMerchandise, and were the brainchild of Scottish businessmen Alisdair McDermid and Charlie Boyle - who have even left a set of their Gnome Roses in bassist Mani's garden.
Speaking to Manchester Evening News, former gig promoter turned music lecturer Alisdair from Greenock near Glasgow, said he came up with the idea while recovering from cancer.
"When I was being treated for bowel cancer, I was spending a lot of time in the garden and hit upon the idea," he said. "I asked Charlie if he could mock up some caricatures of the band and things just went from there. It's been a learning process. We had to redesign things because Ian Brown's head kept falling off."
Tyical Ian.
