Ah, December - a time of reflection of the year just passed and looking ahead to all that is yet to come. A time for resolutions and of hope, but with that must also come a pretty harsh reality check. While we all start foaming at the prospect of the new releases, tours and reunions that 2014 could bring, we also need to remind ourselves of the things that definitely aren't going to happen.

It's time to stop getting your hopes up, music lovers. No, the Gallaghers won't bury the hatchet and step on stage. No, Bowie won't suddenly have a change of heart and embark on an epic arena tour. No, Daft Punk won't take their robot road show to the masses.

Get over it. As much as want them to, these are the 12 things that (probably) aren't going to happen in 2014.
