Despite the relatively recent release of his Yeezus album, Kanye West is already working on the follow-up and it may only be eight songs long.

The rapper says that he is scaling back on the 'information' he is planning to deliver to his fans and is going for short but sweet on his 2014 album.

"I think my next album is going to be eight songs," said West during a talk with architect Jacques Herzog at the Moore Building in Miami's Design District this week. "It's just reducing down the amount of information that you need."

"People say a design is the point where you can't take anything else away. [Yeezus] was very, very designed. I took a departure from radio and popular music in order to get this seat here. If I hadn't made Yeezus, I wouldn't be sitting here with this cool font at Basel right here."

Rapper Q-Tip has previously revealed that he will be producing Kanye West's new album along with Rick Rubin.

In an interview on Jay Z's Life And Times blog, the hip hop recording artist said "I'm producing Kanye's new album with Rick Rubin... That's coming up."

Kanye himself has also confirmed that he hopes to release his next album in summer 2014.
