Arctic Monkeys fans have spoken out in outrage after an online hoax got out of hand and #RIPAlexTurner started trending on Twitter.
Don't worry though, he's not really dead. It's currently uncertain how the 'joke' came about, but it's fair to say that after shooting to the top 10 trending topics, the disgust of Monkeys' fans has only been amplified:
