The X Factor winner, whoever that may be, is currently favourite to score the Christmas No.1 this year, despite fierce, festive competition from unusual competition including AC/DC and current chart topper, Lily Allen.
The as-yet-unknown single from the as-yet-unknown winner will be revealed next weekend (14 December, 2013) when Sam Baily, Nicholas McDonald and Luke Friend compete for the coveted poison chalice of the X Factor winner's title. Sam Bailey is the current favourite to win the show.
However, an online campaign to get AC/DC to the festive top spot with their iconic un-festive hit 'Highway To Hell' is also picking up steam - with rock fans keen to derail The X Factor from scoring another festive No.1.
Lily Allen is also one of the front-runners, having this week returned to the top spot with her cover of Keane's 'Somewhere Only We Know' from this year's John Lewis advert. Also in the running are The Specials, U2 and a number of charty efforts.
Paddypower Christmas No.1 betting odds are as follows:
X Factor winner - 4/9
The Specials - 9/2

Susan Boyle and Elvis Presley - 8/1
Lily Allen - 12/1
U2 - 12/1
Paramilitary Wives - 16/1
NHS Trust Choir - 16/1
