Slade star Noddy Holder is set for another very merry Christmas, with an £800,000 royalty cheque heading his way from this year's proceeds from his Christmas hit, 'Merry Christmas Everybody' - 40 years after it was first released.
Prezzybox.com reports that the iconic Christmas anthem has already grossed the sideburn-rocking rocker a massiVe $768,000 (£512,000) in the UK this festive season so far - with many many more to come as the month rolls on.
The website have been compiling Christmas hit statistics from radio and television plays, as well as plays in jukeboxes in pubs and clubs as well as album sales.

Coming in just behind Slade in the UK's top-earning Christmas hits list was The Pogues' 'Fairytale Of New York', while Mariah Carey's 'All I Want For Christmas Is You' is at No.3.
