'Sassy, sweet and strong, Haim are the best party in town'

Storming onto stage with smiles that gleam as bright as their native Californian sun, Haim are equal parts sassy, sweet and strong. Launching into their peppy single 'Falling', these sisters make it known immediately that tonight is going to be a night full of pure, euphoric fun.

That is not to say that they are shallow. Of course they make jokes between each other on stage and make the audience giggle themselves silly, but in between all of this it is undeniable that Haim play ferociously live. Whilst the songs on their No.1 debut album Days Are Gone are polished and filtered, live it is a completely different story. They sound rawer and more impassioned.

This aptly lends itself towards the more bouncy and punchier songs played tonight such as 'Don't Save Me' and their ever so infectious  'The Wire'  - both received with roars of delight. But the more tender, softer moments on songs such as 'Honey & I' or the entirely heart-melting first part of their encore 'Running If You Call My Name' remain just as intact and become as provoking and poignant as possible.

Yet it is when their song 'Forever', the one that thrusted them onto the scene last year and is received tonight with the passion it deserves, that you realise why we have all bought into Haim; they are a group of girls who treat their stage as their living room. They are having the coolest party around, one that will quite simply make you feel good, and you should be desperate to get invited.

Haim played:
Falling
The Wire
Oh Well (Fleetwood Mac cover)
Honey & I
Go Slow
My Song 5
Don't Save Me
If I Could Change Your Mind
Forever
Encore:
Running If You Call My Name
Let Me Go
