Lily Allen looks set to hold onto the No.1 singles spot this week, whilst One Direction are sitting pretty at the top of the albums chart for the third week running.

One Direction's third album Midnight Memories became the fastest selling album of 2013 when it debuted at No.1 two weeks ago, and it looks like it's getting comfortable there. In fact, it's an X Factor heavy album week so far, with frequent guest judge Robbie Williams at No.3, current judge Gary Barlow at No.3 and former contestant Olly Murs at No.4. How bleak.

Smooth singing Michael Buble has climbed to No.5 with his album 'To Be Loved', following his performance last week on, you guessed it, the X Factor.

In the Singles Chart meanwhile, despite being labelled "shrill" by Allen herself, 'Somewhere Only We Know' remains at No.1 in the midweek charts, though the Official Chart Company reports that there are just 7,000 copies currently separating the top 4.

Avicii's 'Hey Brother' is currently a tNo.2, Ellie Goulding's 'How Long Will I Love You' is at No.3 and Leona Lewis' 'One More Sleep' has climbed from No.34 to 4. Drifting out of our lives is One Direction's 'Story Of My Life', which has fallen three places to No.5.

The final chart will be announced from 4pm on Sunday.
