Kelis has confirmed that her sixth album is titled Food, and will be released on 28 April 2014.
The singer, perhaps best known for 2004 hit 'Milkshake', seems to have made the difficult transition from drinks to solid food with her upcoming offering. Food, which is the singer's sixth album, will be entirely produced by TV on the Radio's Dave Sitek.
The album is to be released via Ninja Tune, a UK label best known for experimental electronic and unconventional rap artists.
According to a press release, the album will be "a soul record that's as raw and alternative as it is classic" with Kelis herself adding "This is the album I've wanted to make for a long time."
