What do you get when you combine one of the most hyped British music acts of 2013 with one of the biggest songs of 2013? There's no punchline, just a brilliant cover.

London Grammar performed a characteristically minimalistic version of Miley Cyrus' 'Wrecking Ball' in an appearance on BBC Radio 1's Live Lounge today. Check it out below.

The band's last visit to Radio 1 earlier this year ended less positively, with the station being forced to apologise over a tweet reading "We think the girl from London Grammar is fit. Do you agree? Text 81199 #Ladz."

"Putting my looks up for debate was wrong." responded lead singer Hannah Reid in an interview with The Observer last month, "And it's just how casual it was. It does say something about casual sexism."

The band put this behind them though for an appearance on Fearne Cotton's show this morning. Watch the band's spell-binding cover below.
