The XX will perform 25 shows at Wade Thompson Drill Hall, New York, in March - with an audience limited to just 40 people at each show.
Performing up to three shows a night between 19 and 29 March, the band will perform to a total of 1,000 people over the 11 day run - less than the capacity of just one show from some of their bigger tours.
It's not the first time the XX have done something like this though - their residency in New York has been inspired by a similar stint at the Mancester International Festival this summer.
In 2012, the XX released their second album 'Coexist' which reached No.1 in the UK Albums Chart.
Tickets for the shows are already sold out.
