All music serves a purpose - whether it's to help you lose your mind on the dancefloor, drift away, focus and concentrate. As the end of 2013 draws ever nearer, we at Gigwise HQ can't help but think about those albums that we've gone back to again and again, and why. These are the albums that have been most listened to and overplayed in the Gigwise offices this year. 

This isn't a countdown of our favourite albums, these are just the ones that we go to as a whole when the mood suits - either for the mood they create, the memories attached or the sheer consistent brilliance. 

We'd like to thank all of the artists featured in this list for providing us with awesome sounds to work to, and stopping us from throwing ourselves out of the window in our darkest hours.
