Daft Punk fans were left both excited, and confused, when the band were named in a newsletter, supposedly performing at London's Koko in Spring 2014.
Daft Punk have yet to perform any live shows since they returned in 2013 with fourth studio album, Random Access Memories, despite hopes from fans of seeing the French duo live. However, despite the announcement from Bandsintown, it has since been revealed that the announcement is instead a tribute band who will be performing the show.
The date was revealed by Bandsintown, a gig listings website and app, which gave no further information, stating only that the show has been 'just announced'. The email was sent to subscribers on 13 December, 2013.
